How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? At FCB you get 6 weeks now and more and more dads are taking all of it. I hope this trend continues.
I wish people called me iron horse.
We get 6 weeks at huge any time within first year of life. Must be taken in full week increments. A lot do two weeks around birth and then a month off a couple months later when the mother has to go back to work.
My boss at my first job took a month of paternity leave. 5 weeks after I started there. We were a department of 2 people, so I got to be a director on an entry level paycheck 👍👍
I took two of them shits. Once at my daughters birth and another when my in laws arrived.
6 weeks here. And yes of course you take all of it unless you're an idiot.
Yes it's real and thankfully more and more places are doing it for moms and dads. We even give time for people who choose to adopt, but it's only 2 weeks. Which is shit.
I took off 2 but was still new so had to burn PTO. My wife was thrilled...and when I say that I mean the complete opposite of.
Iron Horse why was your wife not thrilled?
We only have 2 weeks, but more & more people are taking all of it. Sometimes all at once. I recommend thinking about taking a week or two right when the baby is born and then another week or 2 when your wife goes back to work, depending on your situation.
Publicis, despite being a French company, gives only 2 weeks to both men and women. It's despicable. But, every dad I know takes the full 2 weeks.
ACD1 that's terrible!
