I want to know, tcs block for future if we accept the offer and not join because got some better salary with other company.

I’ve really resisted going the big tech route because I really enjoy the speed and responsibilities of startup life, but I’m in my mid thirties and can’t seem to justify leaving that much money on the table by not doing FAANG or a large tech company (not to say I’d be a shoo in for a job). Such a huge difference between $200k with promise of an exit vs $400k in almost guaranteed comp. Does anyone else not want to do big tech? What’s your reason(s)?

What are the laws / regulations around a firm taking away OT pay due to C-19, but still making you work the same hours. This is impacting 20-30% of mine / classmates gross pay, and we agreed the we wouldn’t have accepted the job at the current base without this benefit. Is it legal to take away OT if it’s clearly stated in our contracts & was an expectation? We don’t receive any bonuses / additional compensation so this really impacts living standard / life style.

23 LPA in India vs 4.5K SGD monthly. Should I consider the offer. I am married and my husband too can join with equal or greater salary then mine. We are family of two.

Another late night weekend work rant: Given the uptick in hours due to both turnover and M&A volume how have different firms actually responded other than just acknowledging there is a problem (spot bonuses, promise of higher year-end bonus, interim salary raises, more hiring, etc.). Curious to see.

Feel like my firm (MM) is trying to hire more people but we’re losing good people just as fast as we replace them with inexperienced ones. And compensation has in no way made up for the hours.

Biglaw 2nd yr. In my review, one of the seniors commented that I am ‘always polite and deferential’. Is this something to aim for? It feels gendered and I’m not that keen on being thought of as deferential. I highly rate this senior. Thoughts?

Just got bombed my second round FDD assessment exam. Totally blew my chance with moving forward, which is OK. Up next, I’m talking to EY about a strategy & transactions associate position. Can anyone give me some tips on the interview process for SaT? Or any advice at all as I go forward with other interviews? I was really excited about this FDD role until I bombed the assessment.
