Hello Fishes 🐟🎏
I am rigorously looking for a job from past few months and tried applying many opportunities i came across, but everywhere I receive is Rejection or No response at all. I am not sure what needs to be added to my profile to get more attention or is it really something because of my Notice period which is 90 days at HCL.

Good morning. I am currently a senior associate in BugLaw, and I have applied to several trial attorney jobs in Chicago offices of federal agencies since the start of the pandemic. According to usajobs.gov, my applications to the DOJ and CFTC were “referred,” and my application to the SEC was received and my GS scale verified. But I haven’t received any updates on these applications in over a month. Does anyone here have any insights on these or on federal hiring generally? Thanks!

I think it's a way generate paper trail for them to ensure they get paid for the leads
This. Likely means you’re talking to a contingency HH and not a retained one. Once you sign, they’ve tagged you as their candidate.

It happens, especially if it’s about a role that’s still occupied
Normal, but not common. They'll be doing as the client asks them.
Yes, no doubt.
Depends on the position but if it’s encumbered currently or could signal something to the market yes
Maybe not for an initial conversation, but senior hiring usually involves confidential disclosure. This shouldn't feel like a red flag.
