Is the exit opportunity as good as advertised? I remember my old college recruiting events always glamorized on the skip level exit opportunities when you jump to industry. I'm curious how true that actually is?

Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.

How hard would it be to get a job if I quit mine? I’m feeling really burnt out and unhappy with my current environment. I’ve been applying for positions since February and not getting much traction. I’ve expanded my search to NC, DC, TX, and CA, or fully remote. I wonder if maybe I’m just not dedicating the time needed to conduct a good search/get enough applications out there. My current position is at a firm and I don’t have time to apply to more than 1-2 jobs per week. Finance/corporate law.

POV: 2 and s half months into a new job: position internal sales support. Request of SM to find all potential customers in 2 main areas of sales and send them the information of companies name as well as contact name and sort the info from most important company to least, all from scratch.
The SM knows I am new to the industry and have no previous experience in it.
Is this something normal to ask to have done? Is it normal to give a few days to hand in the requested information?

Why has real estate remained lucrative?
Mainly agents but also developers.

The barrier to entry is low, not even sure if graduating high school is needed. My old agent even said she did it bc she can make a lot money and not work that much. She drove a new Mercedes and sent her kids to private school, husband was also an agent.

So I’m curious why it didn’t get flooded and the profit margin dampened to a $/hr closer to other jobs with similarly easy entry?
