Is there a market for lawyers to add expertise In crisis management or reputation management? My goal is to counsel clients (businesses or public figures) on how to respond to media inquiries without saying or posting something detrimental to a potential lawsuit while still maintaining communication with their client base. If so, how to break into that industry? Courses? Books? Certifications?

Hello, I’m about 3 and a half years as a clinical data manager. Does anyone have any advice in how I can progress my career?

I have ADD and occasionally make small mistakes in my work, like leaving a word missing when editing sentences, small formatting errors or leaving an internal comment in drafts sent to clients. All partners have been very understanding and care about the quality of my work, and no client has ever complained. Partners and clients praise my work.

But now, one partner has become super mad and when I explained ADD, he said:

I’m 27 & going to go to back to college for my bachelors. I have worked in the legal field for about 8 years & I’m burnt out. After a lot of research an thought I am leaning towards either architecture or interior design. I wanted to ask some advice from anyone working as an architect or interior designer. I am defending an eviction for a client who has given possession of the property (as of Nov. 30). Plaintiff’s complaint has one claim – possession. They did request relief for attorney’s fees. NJT/Final Hearing commenced 10/27, was only 30 min and was therefore continued to 12/20. Plaintiff had counsel at that time but they are no longer represented.  I want to file something notifying Court that Plaintiff claim is now moot, making sure that judgment is not entered that hurts (cont'd)..

If a client asks law firm A to transfer a couple of patent prosecution cases to law firm B, does law firm A need to deliver all relevant documents to law firm B? Can law firm B just submit POA and access all the files via Private Pair? Thank you

First year associate thinking about making the just from medium sized reputable IP firm to In House. Started at said firm summer of 1L year as a law clerk/patent agent in May 2019, have worked through school and full time as associate since Sept 2021. Feeling very “stuck” in day to day work. Love the patent/IP space but drafting and pros w/minimal human interaction is getting very difficult. Thinking In House would be better, but not sure how much experience needed. Thoughts?

Can anyone who has taken a career sabbatical to travel/explore other interests share their experience with both leaving their jobs and returning to the legal field?
I really want to live in Asia for a year at least before I have to settle down and start a family. I’m not getting younger but don’t want to be reckless with my career.

Anyone else having trouble finding free fraud based CPE trainings? My job does not pay for these things so I wasnt sure if anyone else had a solution or source. I need 4 more hours of fraud based CPE and havent found much on ACFE or AICPA that I can use. Ive joined a local CFE chapter but not much is going on with it.

I'm trying to figure out how to pivot out of my current job. My department is in utter chaos, which has just become completely unmanageable. I'm a product manager at a small start-up with ~3 years professional experience. Been offered a VC internship, or a PM role at a post series B startup. I like the idea of VC, but the internship is at a non-prestige VC. Is it worth taking it anyway, or staying in product and switching to VC when I'm more senior?

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!
