Girl yes! We just had a big storm so I've been spending the day clearing debris and sprucing up my rose bushes. Sad to say my tomatoes didn't make it but I'm not disheartened. If only the mosquitoes weren't out in full force... oh well! I enjoyed it nevertheless. :)
I hate that you lost the tomatoes and had damage from the storms. I lost all my seedlings of tomatoes, peppers, and squash. It looks like my cantaloupe, one watermelon, and three tiny tomato plants survived our torrential rains here. So I had to replant everything. So I guess I'll get a late harvest.
I totally relate to this. There's just something about getting involved with spring planting. I have some seedlings I grew from seeds, peppers and tomatoes mostly, that are ready to go into the ground. I got a late start this year, but plants usually catch up once the warm days really kick in. Couldn't get my hands dirty today, but Saturday they will be a mess and I will be loving it.
There is just something about getting your hands down in the dirt... I've also started talking my shoes off and walking in the grass, too. So-o-o-o therapeutic to me.
So I am sonswamped with 6 months of backed up house work and wardrobe changes and kids' clothing size changes that I am suffering paralysis now that I have the freedom to choose what I do with my time.
