What are you thinking about doing?
I am right there with you. The lack in variety of work is mind numbing. Same stuff over and over.
I left designing power lines for utilities because I found all 6 power companies I worked for were more concerned about money than safety. All of them engaged in questionable ethic behavior and an extreme lack of respect for the NESC. For the last 5 years I have been doing survey work for a gold mine and preparing to retire next summer. I miss the challenge of designing, but not the neglect for public safety to save money or make overpaid linemen’s jobs easier at the customers expense.
