When I felt stuck in my career journey, no matter my efforts and for a prolong period of time, I decided to pivot.
I focused on marketing, and another option I considered was any tech-related careers, including coding, etc. At that time I thought I wasn’t smart enough to do it, so I didn’t - now looking back, I think I should have given it a go.
Marketing is great, but really weight all your options out there. Maybe you need to push graphic design a bit further, and you’ll get there, maybe you’ll have more luck with pivoting.
Prior to pivoting, I had a session with a career coach, who tried to talk me out of pivoting, saying that I have too much experience in my previous career, but I saw that it’s just not working out. And so glad I didn’t listen to the coach. Listen to what your gut tells you - keep pushing, or consider other options, or do both, etc.
