Funny, I just saw a job for Ministry Solutions on Indeed who’s looking for a project coordinator. They kind of list it as a plus if you have construction experience. Maybe give that a whirl if you’re interested. Project Coordinator https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=64246296b6a523fb&from=appshareios_screenshot
There are certifications in project management that might be worth looking into. I think the obvious first move would be to obtain the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) cert. It wouldn't guarantee that you find a job, but it might give you some credibility as you try to pivot into project management.
I've looked into it. Might give me a little credibility, but the jobs I'm seeing don't require it..they want hands on. Looking into OSHA too which is cheap and not a huge time commitment. Not sure if the time and financial commitments would be worth it. Definitely something on my mind, though. Thank you!
Try networking. You can reach out to friends, acquaintances, or relatives who work in construction. They might be able to connect you with opportunities or introduce you to the right people. I'm sending good vibes to you.
Tried that. My aignifrother has been a PM like 30 years. Talked to recruiters, people he knows. Nothing. Thank you! I'm going to keep trying
