He is thinking of getting into sales and is looking for a dynamic work environment and a place that would be willing to see his entrepreneurship as at least some relevant experience. I am currently recruiting for a Country Manager and this has been the hardest req thus far. This individual will be establishing an across seas company in the US. Individual contributor role, fantastic salary (base over $200k’s and a variable on top). This will be the sole individual for the entire US and will be able to build their own US team when the time is right. Any leads or best places to find this individual? What are your thoughts on PHR vs SPHR vs SHRM for someone with my years of experience and current role as a manager?
I’m in a rather peculiar situation. I have been in the HR field going on 4 years, I have over 11 years of management experience, I got my PHR last year and I recently graduated with my MBA with a concentration in HR this month. I am ready for a more challenging role. However, there doesn’t seem to be much available at my current company. However, I am going on 5 months pregnant with the expectation of being out in October. I feel like once I mentioned my pregnancy I was in a holding pattern.
I have a friend in London that has a fantastic offer from GS - he will also be in HR. But he currently has a pending charge against him that his lawyer is pretty confident that he can get the case thrown out. It’s an assault by beating charge and was done in self defense after the other person trespassed and walked up to my friend in a threatening way. My friend wants to turn it down as his lawyer doesn’t think he will pass vetting. Given the circumstances, possible he can be upfront & pass bgc?

I find myself feeling like my team is toxic, but not in the way you’d usually say a work environment is toxic. Everyone’s friendly and a team player but there’s a certain pressure placed on our team by management to be number 1 (which we are, in our respective region). Everyone I talk to on the team feels stressed and burned out, EYE feel super stressed. It’s this pressure to over-perform that has me wondering if it’s really as bad as I think it is or if this is just what sales is?

I have recently received an offer from Deloitte Canada. Though I'm excited to get an offer from such a prestigious organization, I have doubts! I'm not sure if this is the place I want to join. I have just graduated from Sauder with MBA. With this come a lot of opportunity as well as confusion. I have a student loan to pay and my parents responsibilty as well. I believe Deloitte doesn't pay as compared to the work they ask us to do. Please help!
