The crazy thing is that I always thought I ate healthy and really thought those afternoon cookies or morning cakes were part of a normal sugar intake. Been doing it since I was literally 3 years old and I never realized how much difference this can make daily. Now cutting back on sweets, I truly feel all my clothes are too large for me. And that's just a month 😅
This is what I am referring to when I say cake lol https://www.google.com/search?q=ciambellone+al+cioccolato&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjWgO6u9an5AhVRxosBHVMzB2UQ2-cCegQIABAC&oq=ciambellone+al+ciocc&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQARgAMgUIABCABDIECAAQHjIECAAQHjIECAAQHjIECAAQHjoECCMQJ1CpB1izFmDUGmgAcAB4AIABlgGIAZwPkgEEMC4xNpgBAKABAcABAQ&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=rQTqYpb2CtGMr7wP0-acqAY&bih=700&biw=360&client=ms-android-oneplus-rvo3&prmd=vin
I've done whole30 a couple times. I know what you mean.
Growing my own garden of veggies was the best way to keep myself motivated eating healthy.
Well yeah, but I meant unconsumed.
Be really proud you did this. 43, got Lil chubby during pandemic and staring down a pre-diabetes diagnosis. It sucks.
Same here, put on weight during pandemic and annual physical revealed I’m pre-diabetic, it sucks
Same thing happened to me when I did whole30 last month. My body was freaking out, but it helped me realize how dependent I was on sugar! It was crazy. I definitely noticed huge benefits afterwards though. Maybe to ease it a bit you can have fruits or dates or something but in moderation (as they are also super sweet) and it could be a good alternative to processed sugar while you’re trying to adjust ?

What positive changes have you all noticed from doing this?
Definitely feeling less dependent on cravings and random spikes in energy in the middle of the day. At the beginning I felt like I was never full after eating (like my body asking for a final dessert to be satisfied), but now I feel lighter and not specifically craving any specific type of food anymore. Also, my tummy really became smaller and can feel my abs more.
