I’ve been at my job for 45 days. I had my 30 day review and my supervisor told me she didn’t have any complaints. She wanted me to speak more on Zoom and Slack but that was it.

2weeks later

The CEO expected me to know something I had no knowledge about. He catches an attitude w/ me. Removes me from a Slack channel! That Friday, my supervisor hands me 2 page performance review. I have 2 WEEKS to correct my 30% performance and I’m new!

Do you guys respond to emails and phone calls over the weekend or have you been able to put boundaries in place wit your boss?

I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?

Had anyone flexed in streetwear for their consulting engagements? I occasionally wore my Yeezy Triple Black 350s with my suit to the office, then changed into dress shoes at the office 😂

I’m my partners only associate and I went on parental leave two weeks ago. I feel horrible for leaving him to handle our cases alone, but am trying to focus on my wife and new baby. That being said, should I still offer to handle minor matters that come in to ease the workload off my boss? He’s been super cool during my entire leave, so I don’t feel pressured to one bit.

I’m married, and one of my coworkers flirts with me. Nothing super overt, but definitely not professional. We’re good friends and work together constantly because we’re on the same client, so I don’t want to make it awkward. Do I just do nothing and let it go?
