Well we don’t see it in our patient population because people w/o insurance don’t use the hospitals unless critical. Patients who come to ER for mild symptoms always have state insurance like Medicaid or they are over 65 and have Medicare.
I dropped my insurance 2 years ago, I paid for annual labs this year 180 (CBC,CMP, thyroid panel, hormones levels) The same lab 2 years ago had a 300 copay with additional 600 Billed to insurance. This is why insurance is a scam.
I'm not seeing that but I do see people paying out or pocket sometimes when they are out of network or a service is not covered and I am so surprised
