8+ hours a day is an awful long time to spend looking at job boards my friend. Try to limit yourself to say 3 hours a day, and then spend your remaining time out of the house or just trying to keep yourself busy?
Listen to your body and mind. If you're able to be productive for 8 straight hours, more power to you. If the law of diminishing returns starts to kick in, close the computer and take a step away. My job hunting productivity is far from linear, and that's okay. Some days I can lock in for 4-5 hours at a time, others even 30 minutes feels onerous.
Try to get into a schedule that is sustainable for you. I know any second away from the job hunt feels wasted, but I promise it isn’t!
I can't even imagine what someone could do for eight hours on LinkedIn. Set up some searches and learn to use the filters. You should be able to scan relevant jobs in an hour in the morning. In the afternoon you can do your applications. It's not the amount of time you put in, it's all about working smarter.
get a differn job in mean time to pay your bills. There are no jobs at all. not kidding about no jobs.
Yes enjoy some time off to not get burnt out. Working on it longer isn’t going to change the outcome. And you’ll regret not enjoying the time off
