You could try something creative to help members feel appreciated. But honestly, it's summer & lots of people are on vacations right now, so I'd try not to take it too personally.

Consistency and creating a safe space are the most important tactics to create a community that is engaged for the long term. You may need to remind members of the reason for the community and invite them into a series of conversation starters, or even live conversations. I will agree with M1 above... in the summer, things are a little more hit-or-miss, but just stay consistent and it'll pay off.
Thanks, I love those ideas. I'd love to have more actively engaged members for the long-term. That's why I've been nervous seeing engagement is down. But here's to hoping (and working) for the best.
I think create some spotlights on different community members and help people get to know each other. I have managed many communities and people are always most engaged when it feels personal to them.
