That's not necessarily a split, sometimes clicking with the team is an important qualification. We tend to work in teams, and one of the things to note when hiring someone is how you think they'll work with colleagues. Someone who is technically brilliant but can't get along with people would be a questionable hire.
Have you ever worked with someone stubborn and only he knows it all, impossible to work, unreasonable? We all go wrong sometimes, and when this happens, this kind of people let their ego get in the way. It's so disruptive for the team. I had very bad experiences in the past, and my team lead wasn't able to manage the situation. I can see why some people also consider clicking.
