I’ve seen organizations roll out wellbeing initiatives while teams were simultaneously overwhelmed with deadlines. Employees notice when support messages don’t match daily expectations.
Can workplace wellbeing exist without workload changes?

The bar of what should be expected should be at the level of the average worker, not at the level of the superstar. If someone isn’t able to hit that bar, that’s a problem, if more work is required, than what the set bar is, because someone left, etc, you give your team grace while you look for efficiencies so that the average worker can raise that bar. Be real, be efficient, show grace for those who can’t exceed and reward those who can exceed. Find out why some exceed and some don’t and make changes. So yes, it is a workload change, but through process improvement.

It can be. Well it depends on the manager or leader.

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. Joined at 502 in JPMC in mid July (in Operational Risk). 6 YOE (4 in audit, 2 in BPO). Haven't really started working in the true sense yet. Objective setting discussion just began for this year. Wondering what to expect from performance appraisal considering these facts in terms of hike and bonus. LOB - Corporate.

General Question I started tuition reimbursement last year in August. I since have an interview with another job that is paying a lot more. You know how you apply to something not really thinking that job would call back? Should I get an offer, what do I do about tuition Reimbursement? Do they send a check and tell me to pay it? Do they take it out of my 401k? I know a lot of people will say I never shouldve applied but I didn't think too much about actually get a call back when I applied.

Am I being paid competitively? I have been the Onboarding Sup for my HR dept for over a year now and I’m being paid the state min for salary, which for CA is 62,400. I bring a background from the clinical operations of my company, scheduling, field work, and what the average employee faces. I want to look else where but I’m not sure.

Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?
