That five day work weeks are productive! I've been reading a lot about the UK's four day work week study, and I am really curious to see US companies give it a shot! What do you think needs to change?
Productive early in a career when people are learning their craft but by age 30-35 could easily be phased out without a fall off in productivity in non agriculture or manufacturing jobs
That employees just don’t want to work…. When really, they just aren’t motivated to work for wages that will leave them in the same boat they’re in unemployed: poor..So they don’t take your job posting seriously because it seriously won’t help them survive in the world.…. People used to be motivated to work when the wage and cost of living ratio meant you could rent or own comfortably, afford school, afford good natural food, could afford a stay at home wife AND kids, travel, independence…. $16 per hour is the average pay rate of general labor jobs. Unless you have family/ friends to split cost with, that is not happening in any major city of America. Move to the suburbs you say? With what car? Only to be caught in a hole where the only jobs around are walmart, or the local plant.
Overly simplistic
"High potential" is an outdated concept. Who is anyone to judge potential? Relatedly, linear career paths.
Lots of things…..especially toxic work environments…. ***Sigh*** 😔
