I’m 12 months into a new job and finally just had a sit down with the MP when he realized that everyone assumed everyone else would do this. I explained that I have yet to be told how long a task should take and am just told to “get it done” and then get criticism for billing after the fact. He had no idea.

I bit my tongue for a while being afraid to make waves until I got blamed for an error a partner made.
I just started a job and I was assigned two mentors (a partner who I have cases with and a partner who I don't). If possible, I would ask for a mentor. Someone you can feel comfortable talking to about issues like these.
Also, always ask for a sample if you are unsure how to do something or a similar file that you can look at for guidance.
I’m more pissed off and ruminating than in a let’s find solutions mindset.
Sounds like you’re just groveling and don’t want any actual advice OP- if you don’t make it clear to your partners that things aren’t working they’re probably too busy to notice.
The point is how do people say they need more support if the new org is super super busy?
