Check out their 990 and use it to argue your case. FOR EXAMPLE : their director of biz dev makes about $150K… say you feel your position is more on par with that.

smart

Wow that’s pretty low for a 3 year. It won’t hurt to negotiate. At the worst they could say no. USCRI is making a ton with the Afghan refugees at the moment…

Yes. It’s easier when you have multiple offers to get higher salary unless they have a set pay scale. Do you know what their current benefits are? Maternity leave negotiations are more common if you’re already pregnant and employers will tend to be more flexible if they want to bring you onboard. Look at the benefit offerings for comparable orgs in the area and express what you’d like from them but be reasonable. Remember to reiterate that you really want to join but would like 1 or 2 things. If you ask for two much, you risk them rescinding the offer.

I need some advice. My manager (CPO) wants to restructure his team and make everyone the level below him a ‘head of’. When he suggested it to me I immediately pushed back as I don’t feel experienced enough to take that role (I have 3 YOE doing product work within consulting and 1 YOE at the startup I’m working at now). His counter was that I wouldn’t immediately see a change in responsibilities or pay until we secure our series B which is months away….

Pretty torn up about my rejection from Wharton last night. It was my last hope at an M7 school (apart from Kellogg Waitlist). But still fortunate to have gotten into Tuck and Yale. Really unsure at this point about what to choose - I see value in Tuck's community, and alumni base but also really impressed by Yale's strong global brand, upward trajectory, and the fact that its in a better location. Anyone have advice on how to decide? Assume post career goals are either Tech or startup/vc
