Joined my team as an analyst 2 and two comp days later still analyst 2. I think I’m being targeted because:
- I’ve tried sitting my manager down and set goals. He refused
- he force work on me knowing other people have capacity (we have a dashboard)
- racist comments
- no compliance breach / performance warning/ did anything massively wrong to cause any damage
- he brought up gossips that he heard from others in my performance review

I’ve been in the bank for 4 years (first 2 years as a grad).

What’s the overall feeling about presentation attire? Suit and tie?

I started working for a new law firm, much larger than the firm I was working for previously. The main attorney that I work under had noticed some mistakes I was making (I am a NY paralegal who took this position with the understanding that they’d be teaching me NJ and NYC real estate). Anyways, the attorney decided to tell the HR manager about the mistakes I had been making. Rather than HR discussing with me, the manager told my dramatic coworker to tell me..how should I handle this? Very hurt!

Anyone has any book recommendations that teach you how not to get overly emotional with work? I found myself getting irritated/ frustrated/ stressed often and I think these emotion gets in the way for me to put out my best performance. So looking for advice

Nine months on the job, 2019 graduate, feeling very ill-equip and self-conscious about making mistakes. I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

Been on a project for 2 weeks and thinking it’s not for me. The manager is kind of rude when I ask for help/direction, but he always says to ask if things are uncertain.
