Junior creative team w/ 2 years experience working at a top NYC agency. We've just been scouted by another agency. They're offering a us promotion. What is a fair salary ask for in this position?

I’m not designated a senior associate, but my small firm (boss, myself, and a paralegal) is hiring a recent grad. Still needs to pass the hazing ritual (aka bar exam). I will be supervising the new hire. Should I get them a welcome aboard gift or wait for exam results and get a welcome to the club gift? Or both? Ideas for either or both?
