In Evansville, IN it is about $15-$17 hourly I believe.
Now that I’ve been doing this for some time now and see what it really takes, starting pay should be at least $20 per hour. It’s not as easy as everyone thinks!
My base is 19.30 in Massachusetts working in an e.r
$20 hourly for ABA Tech
Our base is $13.34 with no degree, $14.43 with a degree, then shift differentials. If you are on second shift you can make the most which is $17.93. That is in GA.
Current base is 17.24 an hour with a bachelor’s degree. Also getting an extra $4 an hour in retention bonus & $2 an hour for the enhanced pay program. York, PA
As a behavioral health technician in Richmond, VA (one step below mental health technician) I was making $21/hr full-time with benefits. Contract work (no benefits) has brought me up to $25/hr. But these are on the higher ends of the pay scales I’ve seen for this line of work in this area.
I’m at 28 a hour . I been in this field for sometime now. Your absolutely right this field is not easy. I work for the state at a mental hospital and I love the benefits. Plenty of overtime but can mentally draining. I say if you can find a state job that would be good. Any question feel free to ask.
