They wont ask about expectations, they'll ask what you actually make. I'd give them the new number. And make them offer you more than that.
You should base line your request off your current salary which includes the 14% raise. Does not matter if you have only gotten one paycheck from that base. Your current salary is the salary that includes your 14%.
They have to offer on top of your new salary . Anything less than that is not worth the effort. Be thick skinned and ask for more. If they can't pay its not worth it. Nobody is doing a favor
Add bump to new number. Worst case scenario they counter offer lower and you end up at your new pay anyway
Do not lie though. Just give them the base....new salary is 80k for example
Yes. But it all depends on alignment practice etc and how are you working with. But I am also changing soon. Ha ha. (I was lowballed on salary when I joined first. I need to correct that. )
This shudnt have been a question at all
EY1 I hope so! That will leave room for negotiation without scaring them off
It's just a screening interview, so I don't want them to screen me out because my number was too high
Based on the screening interviews I've done, the most likely won't ask you your desired salary..just current (so tell the new salary your firm is offering you). If they do ask you your target salary, tell them the new salary plus a 15% bump. If it's too high they will tell you that and will suggest another position or you could say you're willing to take a lower pay
On that note KPMG 1, you like working there?
