Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

anyone hear back about APMM program offers?
I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

Program Manager L3 salary in HCOL?
I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

4-6 months ideally but not necessarily - if you find a role that’s a match still apply and flag to a recruiter
Is it worthwhile to actually reach out to the recruiter I worked with? They hinted at a type of role I’d be a better fit for so curious if that’s a useful route.
So sorry…
Don’t you go into a team match phase if you do well on the interviews and don’t get the role you interviewed for?
That is true for most roles but it’s primarily engineering or product roles. I interviewed for specific roles on specific teams, so they had headcounts tied to an office. It’s fairly common for any kind of business role.
