I am currently pursuing a position to be a 401k workplace planning consultant with Fidelity Investments. I would like to connect with someone who has gone through that training and early hiring process to make sure I have a solid understanding of the position. This is specifically for the Raleigh/Durham NC area if possible.
Experienced hire. Put interests on resume or no?

Just remember you’re not dumb enough to commit insider trading violations after making partner

Yeah, don't be a Dikshit
Why would you need to be a math wiz to make Powerpoint decks?

Probably need to be more of a term paper
Math is the least of your worries. You need to display basic competence and understanding. No one gets extra points for being a math wiz
The target school bit probably isn’t relevant as you made it through the resume screening. Rocketblocks has some good math drills to sharpen up before the interview.
As someone who just did the same jump (and came from a non top-7 MBA program), I agree it’s intimidating. But they’re still people. Have good stories and examples for the behavioral portion thought out in advance and do some practices cases online. Even better to get a partner/SO to quiz you on the math stuff so you get used to doing it under pressure. Good luck!
Just do it.
I do coaching on the side. If interested ping me. Former EM. I’ve coached and assessed hundreds of candidates at McKinsey. Or look up victor cheng - his material is good.
Look up Andrew Cheng case interview prep. The math is less important than structure and synthesis. As long as you can do basic algebra without a calculator you’ll be fine.
EDIT: Victor Cheng
Thanks, SM1!
