Good salary for a mid level planner?

3 attorney firm. I’ve been here for 6 years and have used Westlaw exclusively. Now we are switching to Lexis because apparently Westlaw is too expensive. I hate change. I know where everything is on Westlaw and now I need to relearn. Apparently Westlaw will not budge on price and would rather just see a client leave than work with them. Super annoying. Any insight on negotiating Westlaw or transitioning to lexis?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

I have placed a counter offer in march with Tech M .They are doing a salary revision with Joining bonus and they said they are waiting for JB approval. They didn’t send the revised offer letter yet. Do they usually take so long for revised offer letter. I have just a day left.

Hey folks. Question for the majority of us still under the big 3 holding co’s...are raises a thing anymore? I’ve been at my (smaller) agency almost 5yrs and got one raise (a nice $12k bump) during that time—is that sufficient? Is one increase in that span normal? I also recognize being somewhere 5 years is rare these days. The honeymoon period at any agency seems to be 2.5—3yrs before bolting. Not complaining, just asking. Have y’all been getting raises/bumps in any kind of regular cycle? Thx.

I've 3 yoe experience, 1yr associate analyst, 2 years as riversand mdm, i want to branch out to other mdm tools, since they are more well known. But every job portal expects X years of experience for informatica mdm.


My CTC has already crossed 9lpa , am i too far gone? Should I try to do the 40k rs Informatica certification program? Does that halp or is it a waste of my time?

Hate open offices? Blame Jay Chiat. Him and his architect Gaetano Pesce came up with the concept and popularized it. It was suppose to be like “working in a big living room.”

My agency doesn’t submit for awards, and I’m not saying I’d win if they did. But as much as we say awards don’t matter, it feels like they do at a lot of places I’d like to eventually work. I know this is petty. And I wish I was a better person. And that we all need to support each other right now. But seeing the recruiter who ghosted me begging for work on LinkedIn is karma.

I don't think it's in-house agencies or marketing consultancies crippling our industry right now. Both are still rare instances. I think the dusty holding company business model is the MAIN culprit.
