USI Insurance brokerage and consulting - thoughts? A recruiter reached out to me via linked in and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this company. They seem to have decent reviews on Glassdoor but I was hoping to get more insight into workload and comp. Thanks in advance! USI

Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

Your family is what matters most. No job is worth your mental health struggling. I was a deputy sheriff and left when they were low on manning as well. And guess what? Within a few weeks they had already hired a couple people. Even if they didn’t, that wasn’t my problem to solve. That job will be just fine without you. The comment they made to you about “seniority being the reason why” is them looking out for them…how bout you look out for you and yours!
I’m interested in being a Police Officer, I just have one thing blocking my opportunity and that’s Mary Jane.
It’s so hard quitting but also this is one thing I worry about the most… is mental health, because it truly does matter.
I am a former juvenile probation officer (4 years) and juvenile probation supervisor (5 years), who refused to work in the detention center due to not wanting to being enclosed in such close quarters without a choice. I used to assist "here and there" with providing coverage; however, it bothered me to be enclosed for the few hours that I provided coverage. Perhaps being a probation officer may be a better option, inclusive of times in between to take mental health breaks throughout the day, even if in short spurts, more pay, and actually making contact with your clients and their families, their schools, as well as community partners. Just my little two cents! Good Luck!
Try and apply to other jobs that have appropriate wotk hours that doesn't interfere. Family time is very important and you definitely don't want to miss out on the memories of it. You can never get that time back I worked 2pm until 10pm before I hated it. It's like your entire day is at work
