Benefit of United / American is using your points for international travel
Location and availability. I've had projects in locations where SPG isn't even a thing.
Airline depends on what your home airport and typical clients are. For example ATL is 90% Delta
Woodford = Delta
Agreed: delta, SPG, hertz, Uber. Linked them for extra points. Always get green choice and welcome points at SPG
I'm in chicago so midway is a hub, and FS clients
Op, there's a accelerated status offer with delta right now. Sign up and get platinum then status match to the other alliances.
"Value" of points program is relative. SPG may have better points to dollar value, but mostly has no value to me because of how or where I need/want to spend those points on hotel stays. Wife and I do a lot of road trips and don't travel to Europe much. SPG is better in Europe than Marriott, but you can't find an SPG outside of major markets. Can always find a Hampton Inn, Courtyard, or even mainline Marriott. Value is subjective and how you plan to use it.
Midway is much easier to get in / out of though
Delay / SPG / hertz / uber rewards accounts link and match points. Southwest has no first class and doesn't go as many places that you'd want to vacation to.
If you travel domestically (and some Mexico/Caribbean) with SO then highly recommend SW. The companion pass is the best status out there.
Anyone have the link to delta fast track 2017? No luck on google
