KPMG How long does it take for PTO payout to hit after you leave the firm?

I'm graduating in a few weeks, is to weird to send a holiday gift like wine or a Christmas Card along with my resume? I haven't been hearing back from the companies i have been applying to and I'm looking to stand out.

What would happen if I left my current company, started at a new one, and got pregnant before 12 months of service with the new company? For reference, I know new company requires 12 months for FMLA, and STD is 3 months.

If I’m not eligible for FMLA, what would that leave situation look like? Not currently pregnant but husband and I are wanting to start trying soon, just don’t want to be in a situation where I can’t take maternity leave. TIA!

I have a governmental entity client in Texas that wants to offer 6 weeks of paid parental leave for all employees, even those who aren’t eligible for FMLA. After the paid 6 weeks, the employee can choose to continue paid leave using any accrued personal leave.

Texas does not have a paid parental leave statute.

If paid leave above what is required is offered for parents, do we also have to provide the same benefit to other employees that are eligible for unpaid leave?

Anyone familiar with work as a Leave Administrator and how it is? Considering going from a role working with PTO/Sick to a role working directly with Leave.

Hello, first post here. Outside sales, merchant services/card processing. I’m primarily a welder but I work 4 10-hour shifts typically then I try sales the last three days. I’ve done it long enough to where I’m confident and comfortable going to new businesses, establishing some rapport with business owners. Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.
