Last week, I was promoted from L1 Support Engineer to Manager of Technical Support.
In late 2023, I made the switch from basic e-commerce support into support engineering.

I’ve done it all while also homeschooling my older three kids and keeping the younger three home with me too.

Is it easy? No. Our day is extremely structured.
But it’s been a blessing to be able to do it all and work for a company who cares.

This bowl is a huge part of the reason I gathered the courage to do it. Thank you.

Have you ever taken a job you know you will hate because you needed the money right away? I have a family to take care of. I don't want to be plowing through our savings for selfish reasons like my mindframe at work, but I don't want to make our lives worse by being miserable. It's a matter of really ruining some of our financial future if we don't get money soon.

Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction. I don’t want to waste time (colleagues mentioned it doesn’t get much better from here). Do I embrace the suck or look for other opportunities?
