Last year I took a few interviews after 2 busy seasonsand got an offer for 80k+bonus in fund accounting, ended up not taking it but overall most jobs were around 80-85. The recruiters said there wouldn’t be much salary increase and I would be at the same range, but now I have recruiters saying 95-100k base for similar roles and my experience as a senior 2. Question is the recruiters sort of said this wouldn’t happen, was that just them trying to get me to take the job? Or are these high offers

Can’t decide between reporting + technical roles vs corporate accounting roles. Coming out of audit and I like both aspects. Has anyone tried both sides and have any insights? Does one of these have higher salary potential? Does corporate accounting give you a higher chance of reaching a controller position since you’re actually in the GL, whereas technical + reporting will probably have you in a specialized group in larger companies?
