Are you just reaching out to your staffing coordinator or are you reaching out to partners as well? I think it's a good idea to reach out to partners directly if you haven't yet (even if you're at a centralized staffing firm).
Gotcha. Yeah I'm in a similar boat at a free market firm (only 1.5 months in though) and I had to tap on a bunch of shoulders, finally getting staffed up now but let's see if it stays consistent.
My firm does these "office hours" where you can meet random partners in the corporate group around the country - those have been super helpful in getting work if you have something similar. Otherwise, I reached out to the main point-of-contact during the hiring process and he emailed a bunch of folks on my behalf. I think besides doing those types of things that are in your control it just seems like it takes time unfortunately. Seems like a lot of partners already have their go-to associates and teams already locked in for a lot of their clients and they'll only branch out to you if those associates are getting totally crushed or they're doing something for a new client that doesn't have an established team yet
Try getting to know mids and seniors. Partners at free market places often rely on them when staffing
