SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

I need some advice. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration with 20 plus years working in different Healthcare roles. I am working as a PBM Claim Specialist. I have accepted my sexuality and found peace with the long battle of wanting to be something not what I actually am. On one side I have a lot of pressure around me being gay and trying to get a PR and get out of India, on another side I have a lot financial issues. Recently, as you probably know, Dr. Seuss's estate chose to stop printing a few of his older books that had offensive racial stereotypes. There was huge backlash from white people, including teachers here, screaming "cancel culture!"
Now we have a white guy who murdered eight Asians in custody, unharmed; while the police officer who killed an African American man for allegedly trying to pass a bad check is about to go on trial.

I’m struggling with an issue with a student right now. I teach in a suburban school outside of NYC that has a very large majority of white students. One of my Black students was recently involved in a biased incident with another student in which he received racist social media messages and racist spoken words from the other student. This was a kid that my Black student thought was his friend. He’s heartbroken, and so am I. I want to know how I can best support my student.

To the Antiracist Educators, when we have trolls who do not understand what being an Antiracist means, would you like me to allow them to post even though they are clearly posting here with no positive intent?

I could block them. They can easily go post somewhere else.
