Layoffs are happening in IFS BD, US facing teams. Today there were 50-60 people who got laid off and there are more for tomorrow. Here in the PS Srijan building they rumored that the office will be closed on Thursday and Friday (3rd and 4th October) so that this news won't spread. Those managers whose team got affected due to this layoff strictly instructed team members not to come to the office these 2 days.

I know some will prefer dads over moms, but I assume majority of children out there will prefer their moms over dads… I have one child and it kinda hurts to see my child always preferring the mom over me. I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but I just do. How did you cope with such issue raising your children?

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?
