This seems odd given what they said on the last webcast
Rising Star
They have a reputation for growing too fast and hiring too many people. Still feel bad for them
I've very surprised to see this after the webcast, since I think we all breathed a sigh of relief after the assurance of no layoffs from COVID-19

That didn’t take long....
From the post it looks like it pertains to audit....not advisory

EY always goes thru boom and bust cycles, they won’t call it layoffs but expect people to just slowly drop off your email lists.
P1, you replies are not MECE, plzfix.
Seems like fake news. Poster describes busy season layoffs, but then says people were let go in the beginning of March for Risk. Then some how relates it to COVID-19.
Agreed. Based on the comments, it appears these cuts were going to happen regardless of COVID19. I don't think this is because of the virus. Also, it doesn't seem like these are mass layoffs. Just small cuts in a few offices.

West region here still short staffed on multiple engagements. Surprised to hear this.
Anyone here know any details?
good thing they already took our PBB
Curious to see if it will happen in Audit

If you look at 2019 - EY was already dead last in revenue per employee at $128K vs leader PwC at $153K. D was $148K and K $135K.
