I’m not a SE but from speaking with other SEs it depends on the accounts you’re assigned to. I don’t believe they travel much. Maybe a few days a month but again YMMV. That said, I would say it would be somewhat important to see your customers especially being in sales.

I would say 1-4 times a quarter for me. I’ve also heard of some SEs that traveled every week for a few months to close an important ELA deal. It really varies.
I’m a co-prime SE, and I’ve only traveled twice in a year. Both trips were for internal meetings and optional.
