Is it just me, or does big 4 work more weekends than ACN...seems that accounting culture spills over. I've never had a manager ask for my weekend availability nor heard of it happening

How much emphasis does your firm put on your personal dollars sold in determining your comp/success and how does it incentivize collaboration? At BCG (1) evaluation is pretty heavily focused on dollars sold (have heard that McKinsey is more focused on 'impact' and 'relationships', even if these are sometimes thinly veiled proxies for revenue) and (2) we are structurally incentivized to involve exactly two other partners in any given project (have heard McKinsey is "the more the merrier").

My friend is wondering how to approach a raise conversation with her new boss. A data analyst on her team left so she’s been taking over that position on top of her regular job (spending ~50% of her time) and working a lot more now (40 hrs a week to 60 hrs). She’s not really interested in the data work, but she’s happy to do it if she can get a raise. How can she best approach this with a new manager that just joined 1-2 months ago?
