Or working forwards assuming the flight is on time and you are deplaned at 8:08.
- 5-10 mins walking through the airport
-5 mins grabbing a cab if there is a line
- 20mins in car assuming traffic cooperates
- 5-10 mins checking in with building security if you've never been there before and aren't in the system
- 5 mins finding the room
5-10 mins to spare best case.
Maybe the airport is awesome and I'm overestimating how long each step will take but I'm probably directionally correct.
Probably. I'd fly in the night before if possible. Also look at the on time departure stats for that flight.
I would fly in the night before, I find that preferable to sitting on the tarmac wondering when we are going to take off. Especially busy airports like LGA when you always leave late
RDU is easy to get in/out, but you're cutting it way too close. D1 has it about right with regards to timing. Most LGA flights into RDU are on regional jets, so your also looking at waiting on valet checked bags. Add about another 5-10 for deplaning and retrieving your bag.
Definitely
Yes, cutting it close. I would catch an earlier flight or push back the meeting, either in advance or once you know that you will be delayed
No. Source: staffed in Raleigh.
I can get off my plane pick up a rental and get to my desk in 45 mins.
Anything w less than 30-45 min cushion is cutting it close. Especially if it’s an executive meeting, even more so if you haven’t met. Why would you not fly in the night before? And A1, this is probably just as much about LGA as RDU, need to de-risk for NYC weather. If it was me, night before hands down.
fwiw that flight hasn’t gotten to RDU later than 8 in a week, last time it got in after 9 was in September. I generally feel less bad about being late when I’m on the first flight of the day
What day is your flight? Michael will impact the RDU area Thursday and Friday
