Grosvenor House by a mile. Great location, awesome service and their Sunday afternoon tea is fantastic.
Neither. Stay at the Marriott Grosvenor Square. If you can do Hilton I highly recommend the Waldorf Hilton.
Just got back from a week long stay at Grosvenor House. Decent transportation options, bus stop/tube station is 10 mins walk which could be overbearing on a hot day. Lounge is fantastic. Ask for a room on 6,7 or 8th floors, roomier and newly renovated.
Both are gorgeous. The County Hall is literally across the Westminster bridge from The tube (jubilee/circle/district lines) and walking to Waterloo (tube, natl rail, etc). Stayed at CH 3x. Had tea at Grosvenor
Agree with PWC. I’ve stayed a few times at both. You don’t want to be south of the river if you can help it
I stayed at the Edition a couple months ago. Pretty trendy place although a tab more expensive on points.
Grosvenor House fo sho
Grosvenor House is sold out the week I’m going. Second choice? Grovs square looks nice too
SC1, why? I am going to London in a month, and staying south of the river!
GH. Ask them to give you a Reno room. The lounge is good - they serve dinner. Mayfair has some really nice restaurants where you can walk easily.
M1 - transportation links are worse. There’s more to do north of the river. Neighborhoods are better north. I lived north and worked south. Had to take tube to train then walk 20 to the office when my home was in Zone 1!
Great input
IBM 1 - do you get lounge access here if gold or platinum like we do in the states?
Thanks everyone
+1 on Grosvenor. Stayed there and was minutes away from most common sight seeing spots
Renaissance St. Pancras is great too. Especially if you’re going to take the train somewhere else in Europe
