138k as an ACD in San Francisco - too low?
Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

You do not want to be walkable to salesforce tower. That neighborhood is has nothing to offer but office buildings and $20 crappy lunches. Not sure what kind of vibe you want , but I am a big fan of Nob Hill and the mission, both would offer reasonable commutes, and could technically walk if you had a bit of time.
Pick something near a muni rail line (red lines) stop for an easier commute post-covid. Express buses also work well.

Hayes valley too, but it’s surrounded by otherwise less safe areas.
I like lower haight / western addition. You can take muni rail direct to Montgomery station and walk a few mins to salesforce tower.
Depends how walkable. I live in SoMa 4 blocks away from the tower. Not much going on since the offices are still closed. More happening a bit farther walk away (e.g., Dogpatch) or via Muni.
What areas would you recommend then? Would really prefer something lively :) I should be fine as long as there are public commute options available
Don’t live next to the tower. Take the train.
Inner sunset is pretty nice and safe
But you need a car there
Also, budget?
Ah then yeah, top choice would be marina, cow hollow, or pacific heights.
A lot of younger working professionals live in the Marina/cow hollow (generally 32 and younger-ish). Good bar scene, safe (relative to other SF neighborhoods), Safeway is close by, and there’s an express bus to downtown. I lived in Cow Hollow for 8 years before buying a house in the East Bay. Around Union street is my fave.
Any thoughts on areas to the east of cow hollow? Russian hill, telegraph hill, North beach
