I am interviewing for an investment advisor role in a reputed bank in Canada. I was asked to prepare a business plan and how do I plan to improve business in the first 30/90/365 days if offered a job.
I am interviewing for multiple jobs right now and didn't come across such a request elsewhere. Do you think it is worth spending time on preparing powerpoint presentation where you never know if you will hear back from the company after the presentation?

I’ve had radio silence from a small investment bank for about a week now. I’ve completed several rounds of interviews, but last Thursday the firm reposted the job I’ve been interviewing for. On Friday the headhunter said that they’re not sourcing new candidates and it’s probably just LinkedIn automatically refreshing the listing. She said they had a busy week last week but will make a final decision this week - is the delay and radio silence a bad sign or is this typical for experienced hiring?

Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.

27 and have been in RM since I was a summer analyst. What other roles/fields can I possibly do to sort of sustain this income without an MBA or CFA? Other than IR.. Serious replies only 🙏 TY!
