Take the AE position. Don’t take a step back. Once you get tired of actually working then you can go to a huge company.
Go SFDC. Learn how a big company like them approaches the sales process and take advantage of a well-established and well-oiled machine like SFDC. There are great benefits to starting in an established company from the trainings to how future employers will value that experience.
I would take a chance on yourself and go for the small company. I was an ISR for 3 different companies for a total of 6 years (all Fortune 500) before I got promoted and I’ve lost several promotions during that process due to favoritism and corporate politics. I had to go to another company to get my promotion.
I can see your point about the SFDC, but my rudimentary math skills tell me you would be leaving a lot of money on the table over the next 5-10 years before that gamble MIGHT pay off. I hate to say it, but "take the money and run" -- assuming the offer is made, of course.
Too much money to leave on the table, I took the offer! Thanks for the advice
Get the offers first... Then worry about which one..
