Every employees at TD just got a 3% off cycle raise to combat inflation. Comes into effect July 1st.

Have other companies done similar? Obviously doesn't fully offset inflation but I'm glad to see the bank addressing the issue.

So, I started working full-time at a retail store for clothing and accessories and after a brief dispute with my supervisor (my bike broke down which made me come in 20 minutes late to y shift) they told me that it seems like working is not my priority, so to make it easier on me I would only get 20 hours a week. What job roles within cyber do you look for, if you are moving out of consulting?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Do you all write cover letters for job apps (where they require one) like how you would write an ‘our understanding’ section of a proposal to a client? I.e. some soulful understanding of the hiring firm’s place in the universe, reasoning of what their needs are to succeed and put them in a position of greatness etc, and why you are uniquely qualified?
