Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??

It's a tough market right now. Try not to take it personally. If you're smart and likeable, you WILL find something there. It's just going to take more time than it has in the past. Good luck!
Same thing happened to me before I moved to LA. Every place I landed an interview told me to call them once I actually moved here. LA is filled with so many flakes that I think recruiters don’t trust people to follow through on actually moving. Once I was on LA soil it only took me a month to land something. It’s scary to move somewhere without a job lined up, but I think it’s the surest way to light a fire under your ass in a ruthless city.
But you don’t have to move to LA. Broaden your horizons if you are feeling discouraged.
That's pretty presumptuous AD1. People need to move for spouses jobs, to be closer to family, etc.
Don’t get discouraged! Things are evolving and people are being more thoughtful about hires. Also broaden your search to brands like Hulu, Snap, Netflix. They’ve been hiring lots on the strategy side
SC1 same thing happened to me when I moved to NYC. At one point a recruiter told me to get a phone number with a a New York area code. Don’t think that’s specific to LA.
Yeah Strategy is the most flexible thing there is, so you can look into media companies, post houses, client side stuff...Strategists have a pretty, ahhm, "customizeable" job description (no offense).
Also your post says looking to move to LA, not have to move to LA, so if the whole idea was to see how the market was, it seems like you have your answer. Maybe look somewhere else. I dont hear anything good from freelancers or people looking in LA. (But Im not sure where else to suggest either.) Advertising's kind of bleak right now, what can we say
