Looking to return to Big 4 as a consultant now that I have some experience; however, I’m not sure if the reason I’m not hearing back is because of covid or what’s on my resume/lack thereof. Anyone else successfully get hired at Big 4 during this time?

Hi people, I am going to have the interview with TRS - Financial services team at EY london. This job is basically assesing the Non-performance loans portfolios of the banks. The recruiters said it will be a case study lasting for 2.5 hours. The case will not be given in advance. They only said it is a about a fictious bank. When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us? My dream career is to be a technical recruiter but this whole thing is discouraging.

I am trying to negotiate an internal base increase. Context is that I am at a FinTech following a key strategic and successful M&A in which I was the sole program manager. For reference I have 3 years of experience and have been offered a 10% base increase as a part of my promotion (current salary is 120k). I am booked at an agency that is filled with toxic people and I got offered a freelance job at a really great agency. I am two weeks into a four week booking but they said that usually keep freelancers on for a really long time. Right now I am only working on edits.
