I like my current company. Culture, team, projects, respect, WLB all good for me except the pay. Just got an offer with a level higher and better pay (will take me about 6yrs to make the new pay/offer in current company even with promotion).. struggling on what/how to tell my Partner I'm leaving for better pay.
Got a 15% raise this year with promo to SC, bringing me into the low 6 figures. I'm happy with the large bump, but wondering how much I'm still leaving on the table by not looking elsewhere? 4 YOE, primarily federal, implementation, transformation, and tech projects
What are some utilization (billing hours) targets out there for roles with direct reports? If lower than individual contributors, do staffing levels reflect this? I.e. target is 65% billable, but still staffed at 40+ hours
I rarely work more than 5-6 hours a day and I'm kind of dreading the upcoming promotion (aside from the money, which is nice). -Associate
Currently a senior 3 at EY and hope to get promoted to manager next year by October. Is it better to move over to BCG after promotion as a project leader? Or would that not be a lateral move as a EY manager?
I feel like my skill set is being under utilized. 10-20% of the work I do is predictive modeling / data viz & the rest is correcting minutes, powerpoints, and other BS. Has anyone else been here?
This week my PERM got filed. I am in this promotion year and also getting market adjustment. Will this impact the GC process? Anyone gone through this issue ?
Hi Folks, Need opinions from experienced Management consulting folks: Is it a wise decision to leave Deloitte USI Strategy practice for Accenture strategy in Capability Network when I am due for promotion to Engagement Manager? I am getting 40% hike from Accenture CN when my promotional hike in Deloitte is expected from 25% to 30% (my guess). What should I do? Renegotiate / Stay / Switch.
What is a average yearly raise? My company claims they only do a 1-5% raise per year. I won’t even be able to catch up with this year’s inflation. Is it crazy to ask for a 20% increase?
Does this help utilization or what
Mid-Year Hike Check: Service Line: Sub Service Line: Current CTC: Current Designation: Hike Percentage: Promotion/Progression: New Designation: New CTC: YOE as of Dec'21:
Hallo 🐠 got a promotion and transfer opportunity to move to Amsterdam from the US (I’m in the industry). Looking for inputs on best neighborhoods to rent a place! I’m moving with my fiancé and we are in our late 20s
Im a third year associate and I’m frequently asked to give presentations (on new case law, legislation, ect.) during a weekly meeting for my section. There’s a first year associate and a law clerk in my section who are never asked to present. Should I push back on this? Would it look bad if I delegate some of the work to the others? I spend a lot of non billable time prepping for these presentations...it seems unfair that I’m the only one who has to do them.
My one year at first out of college job is coming up, despite conditions - should I still ask for a raise and a formal virtual performance review. (It is a small firm and they will avoid it if I don’t bring it up). The firm has been making the same if not more profits than they usually would. Thanks!
Does anyone run a business in addition to their firm? I’m a solo and I’m doing pretty well with about 60-70 billable hours a month. Though that leaves a lot of downtime. Curious if anyone has any second businesses that require about 20 hours a week. Not looking for passive income or franchise ideas though.
Why is it that anytime I’ve gotten on a proposal, those asking for help have given me a non-billable code? Is that time counting towards my utilization or am I missing something?
Trying to get an idea of some comparables here for Canada: Looking for : - billable hour targets, bonus structures, whether your firm has provided some form of COViD bonus /retention bonus, and lastly, if your firm will be increasing associate salaries in 2022! It would be great if the firm name was mentioned as well.
I have around 3.2 years experience in front end (react js) and some cms tool and I want to switch any vacancy for front end??

Has anyone heard about the Business Analysis Manager roles at Capital One? Weirded about by the blend of PM and consultant expectations and the lack of focus on FS experience. Seem willing to negotiate on pay.
Can you really learn a language properly with Duolingo? To the point in being able to use it professionally? I feel like it's no rival to Rosetta Stone in that regard.
Hi Fishes, what is Reimbursable flexible benefits in PwC offer? Will that be a part of my in hand salary?

Looking at Organizational Change Management Senior Consulting with Deloitte. Can anyone help with a referral? Thanks in advance!
Does anyone have an email template they like when making "cold call" introductions to other professionals/potential referral sources. I need to build a referral network with CPAs, financial planners, etc., and invite them to come to me with questions or send their referrals on over! Bonus points if you have more than one or one which is more easily customizable.

Strengths are things you get energized by, you like and not always things you are good at. Try to default your brain to a “Yes”. It’s easy to be negative and think of things that are wrong... contd
