Manager seems to have a problem with me, specifically.

I can make a lighthearted comment when not working in project work, receive some negative feedback, and get colleagues asking why I'm being targeted for saying something that fits our culture.

I don't work with them much if at all, but when we do work together it's a question of when they will to take offense to something I've said. I've never had this problem with anyone else.

How do you handle conflicts that are directed at only you?

Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?
