Many staff in the La Trobe Business School were told very quickly about being made redundant. They are in a teaching period and under a lot of stress. No care has been shown to these employees and many are facing psycho social health issues as a result. There was no prior discussion with relevant stakeholders and people are shocked. The closure of programs is surprising. This is happening too quickly just before the new dean arrives. Large number of staff affected.

Getting life insurance so they drug tested me. Now they want me to fill out a form that basically asks me to certify if I’ve EVER done any of these drugs. What the? Who hasn’t EVER? What happens if I say never did? Idk my results from the drug test, maybe I smoked a bowl in the last few weeks, can’t say for sure. How does this work?

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off.
