I have been searching for a travel card for months. I am a young guy who is looking to take advantage of credit and earn points at the same time. Cap One just released an interesting new premium travel card with a lot of seemingly good perks (Venture X). I also looked at the CSP and the Southwest Priority card. My girlfriends family has Southwest and swear by it, with companion pass being the differentiator. I am in the DMV area and have mostly flown Jet Blue or Southwest. Any thoughts on this?

Is Tokyo doable as a solo traveler with zero knowledge of the language? Thinking of doing a group trip there but adding on a few days alone in Tokyo at the beginning. Just got out of one of my final round interviews. It’s been over 8 weeks of prep. Got a little nervous and may have messed up on the case, PEI went okay. Have the other later this week. Trying to focus on that but difficult knowing how this performance would impact the outcome. Has this happened to anyone and they ended up getting offers? Searching for success stories or tips.

I interviewed at KPMG on 11/14 and got a verbal offer the next day but since then waiting to hear from them. Been following up continuously but the partners are not replying it seems. In the meanwhile i have an offer from BT offering 90k for 4 yrs of experience which seems to be fair. I am just unsure whether to accept the offer as I was waiting for kpmg reply as I want B4 on my resume which apparently is a big deal. Is BT also good on resume for future employers ??

People have gotten so used to just backing meetings up into each other. You logout of one and immediately jump in to another. I remember days full of meetings before but not at this volume.

A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.

Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.
